Botox Injections – What Celebrities Never Told You
Can you believe that celebrities have been using Botox injections for more than a decade? Many of us still wonder how they look so youthful and wrinkle free. I am not saying that this is the only reason of their youthful appearance and fitness. Of course, they take every possible measure like healthy diet, a good exercise routine, and so forth to look beautiful. But this is not all;a large majority of them usesBotox to get rid of wrinkles on forehead, crow’s feet around the eyes, and between the brows (the area known as the “11s”).
Kelly Ripa, a 42 year old Hollywood actress and talk show host, isn’t shy to admit the use of Botox. She explains “I do workout regularly, I do not overeat, I try to drink adequate water and I get Botox injected right there, right into my forehead as much as possible!”
Many Hollywood celebrities admit using Botox. Nicole Kidman, a 44 year old actress, recently admitted using Botox in the past, but swears that she no longer uses it.
Cindy Crawford, 44, is no different. She says that she used Botox in the past but its use scared her, and claimed that she no longer uses it. Kylie Minogue, the singer, now touches 43. She admitted using Botox, two years back, “I did use Botox injections, but I don’t any more” she added.
For many of us, who do not know, how Botox works, here’s a little info. Botox is commonly used name of botulinum toxin. Botox works the wonders by a very simple mechanism. It relaxes the tiny wrinkle producing muscles in our face. When these muscles are relaxed, we get a smooth wrinkle free face. The effects are temporary and usually last 5-6 months. On reinjection however, lesser quantity is usually needed. Don’t forget to tell your doctor about the previous injection, if you had any.
It was originally developed by doctor to treat certain medical conditions like crossed eyes (a medical condition where both eyes are not properly aligned with each other) and uncontrollable blinking. The cosmetic effects of Botoxfor wrinkles were first documented by Dr. Richard Clark, a cosmetic surgeon from California. A Canadian doctor couple JD and JA Carruthers were the first to publish the effects of Botox for the treatment of frown lines in 1992. After formal trials the FDA approved Botoxinjections forthe temporary improvement of moderate-to-severe frown lines between the eyebrows on April 12, 2002.
This little secret of celebrities is out now – almost! Now this treatment is widely available and the cost is quite affordable for anyone. If your friends or children often think that you are angry with them, when actually you are not, go to a qualified doctor to remove those frown lines.
